Use backlighting to shape the room’s atmosphere
A backlit mirror sends light behind the glass, outlining the mirror against the wall. It is useful for a softer bathroom feel, but the visible glow depends on the wall surface, surrounding fittings and available space. Leave room around the perimeter if the halo is a key part of your design.

Check controls and what the demister does
Compare each model’s dimming and white-light settings before ordering. A demister warms its heated area to help clear condensation; it does not replace ventilation or necessarily clear every part of the glass. If lighting directly at your face is the main requirement, compare these designs with frontlit or dual-light mirrors.

Will a backlit mirror replace my ceiling light?
It should be treated as part of the room’s lighting plan, particularly for ambience around the vanity. Keep appropriate general lighting and consider front lighting for detailed grooming.
What is the difference between backlit and RGB?
Backlit describes where the light comes from. RGB describes coloured lighting. The RGB collection includes models with decorative coloured backlighting, while the standard backlit models offer their own listed white-light settings.
